Reading is a wonderful gift to have. You can be swept to wonderful places, real and make believe.  A story can be woven to bring the reader on a incredable journey without leaving your room.  We as parent and grandparents need to stir that reading pot to let loose that potential in each child.  Read stories to your children at an early age, they will eat it up.  Take them to the library, go to museums spark an interest in life beyond their imagnation.  Most of all there is no right or wrong way for getting your child to want to read just be interested and interesting and get involved and stay involved in their life.
